Mr. Nasir obtained his Masters of Commerce degree (1988) from the Dept. of Management Studies, Faculty of Business Studies from Dhaka University. In the same year, he joined in the Sales & Marketing department of OOCL Bangladesh, a leading Hong Kong based shipping line. He worked with OOCL for 10 years and held the responsibility of managing its overall sales and marketing department. For numerous years he was awarded as “best sales person of the year”. Under his leadership, OOCL’s business and its market reputation had a significant development and growth.

In 1998, with joint collaboration with a reputed international freight forwarding company, he launched his own Logistics company in Bangladesh, named “Crown Logistics Ltd”. As the founder CEO, he is now holding the position of Managing Director. In 1999 he launched another freight forwarding company with a local partner named “Crown Container line “ and holding the position of chairman.

In 2005, he was elected as Vice President of Bangladesh Freight Forwarders association named ACAB ( Presently known as BAFFA) and until December 2009, he held the position. Under his Leadership and guidance Bangladesh freight forwarders licensing rule was implemented for the industry . He was also involved for the automation of Chittagong customs house and for the creation of BAFFA, the present nation wide freight forwarders association. During his leadership, Bangladesh freight forwarders now directly involve with the respective government body and stakeholders for being part the developments of transport sector of the nation. For 2009-2010, he was the member of the standing committee for port and transport of FBCCI ( Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and industries) , the leading federation of business community of Bangladesh.
Mr. Nasir has experience in shipping, logistics and freight forwarding industry for over 32 Years. A successful leader with a record of accomplishment of producing, presenting and managing the implementation of business plan for achieving the goal of the organization. During his involvement with OOCL, he did the training on OOCL corporate software, transport management and etc. He also did training on Dangerous Goods, from IATA approved Airlines training centre for getting professional knowledge on dangerous goods handling procedure for airlift of commercial goods. Participated in the Training for Trainer workshop (TOT) on Training Fundamentals, Freight Forwarding and Multimodal Transport, organized by United Nations Economic and Social commission for Asia and Pacific (United Nations ESCAP).

Recognition: In 2009, the then Honourable Minister of Civil Aviation & Tourism, Bangladesh Mr. G M Quader awarded Mr. Nasir Mahmud, Vice President of Association of Cargo Agents of Bangladesh as a mark of recognition and for his contribution to the freight forwarding industry of Bangladesh.

For the developments of the company he officially visited following countries : China, Hong Kong , Korea , Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia , Australia, Thailand, India , Dubai, UK, Germany, Netherland , Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Canada and USA.
